Recently, headlines have often flashed in the news that children were poisoned with chlorine in the pool. Unfortunately, chlorine is one of the main means for cleaning the pool from biological contamination. But since we know that there is a safer means - perhydrol for cleaning the pool - we buy the right canister from poollife.ru and we are preparing the pool for liberation from such harmful chemicals as chlorine!

First of all, you need to find out the level of chlorine in your pool. For this purpose, special test devices are usually used that can measure free active chlorine and the total chlorine content in water. Usually, the content of free chlorine should not exceed 1-2 ppm and the total chlorine content should not be more than 0.2 ppm active.

1. Remove the sources of chlorine - tablets, turn off the chlorinator or remove the chlorine dispenser, etc.
2. Remove the protective coatings on the water surface because ultraviolet light from the sun quickly breaks down chlorine molecules. One clear sunny day can remove up to 90% of chlorine in your pool in the absence of chlorine sources.
3. If possible, drain and replace about 1/3-1/2 of the water in the pool.
4. Raise / lower the PH level if necessary. remember that the PH level should be 7.2-7.8, ideally it should be 7.5. Use "Equi-plus" or "Equi-minus".
5. Do the chlorine test again.
6. Pour hydrogen peroxide based on the calculation of 700g / cube for 37% peroxide or 500g/cube for 60% peroxide. After 12 hours, check the PH level and the chlorine level again.
